Late
Shri Ranjeet Lal Ji Nalwaya was a pioneer in Talc mining
industry. He was a visionary with a zeal to develop the backward
tribal belt of Udaipur- Dungarpur region of Mewar. He was the first
entrepreneur who introduced TATA Truck in Udaipur in the year 1955.
He started Talc mining at Nathara ki Pal near Jaisamand (Rajasthan)
in 1958. In those days there were hardly any infrastructure facilities
such as road, rail, or power in this area. Yet with his hard work
he was mining around 1000 MT per month of Talc ore.
Soon he developed new Talc mines in Patanpura, Panchpura and Devpur
and created a mining complex under the flagship company-Nalwaya
Mineral Industries Pvt. Ltd. which was formed in the year 1983.
The mining activity of Nalwaya Industries is spread in the Districts
of Dungarpur and Udaipur Region.
Soapstone occurs as parallel/sub-parallel veins and stringers within
the host dolomitic limestone formation. The mines are operated by
open cast method with drill, showel, dumper combinations.
Our Mines
Soapstone deposits occur
associated with the dolomitic limestones of Aravali age The dolomitic
limestone is dark grey to pinkish grey in colour. Soapstone in some
of the areas extends over 300 metre in strike direction and 25 metre
in width.
Nalwaya Industries has its own fleet of mining excavation equipment
and mines are operating round the clock Total production of Mineral
from the mines is around 50,000 MT per annum The total inferred
reserves are of the order of five million tonnes.
